The COVENHAM CYCLONES who are based at Covenham Reservoir near Louth in Lincolnshire entered their first Team 15 competition in June this year at Barton on Humber where they enjoyed themselves thoroughly and took 2nd team place. This was followed by a competition at Coquet (north of Newcastle on Tyne) where the COVENHAM CYCLONES took 1st team place. At Halifax sailing club on 14th August the COVENHAM CYCLONES again took 1st team place and trophies were also awarded to CYCLONES members for 1st places in the 3.5m and 4.5m fleets. The final event of the season took place at Surfstore, Teeside on 4th September where once again the COVENHAM CYCLONES walked off with the team prize and an individual 1st place in the 5.5m class.

The COVENHAM CYCLONES are now the North Zone SERIES CHAMPIONS! A huge achievement in their first season of competing! They are now training to go to the National Team 15 Championships at Rutland Water on 15th and 16th October, where they will compete against the winners from the other zones in the country.
